The short version

  • We collect what you type into our forms, plus basic site analytics from Squarespace.
  • We use it to reply to you, record your snapshot, and send the newsletter if you asked for it.
  • We never sell your information.
  • Email andrew@stanchionstudio.com to see, change, or delete what we have.

01Who we are

Stanchion Studio is a sports merchandise and e-commerce consultancy operated by 1st & Cedar, LLC. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “Stanchion Studio” mean 1st & Cedar, LLC. This policy explains what information we collect through stanchionstudio.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

02What we collect

Information you give us

  • Free store snapshot requests: your name, email, organization, role, your online store’s address, its platform, and any notes you add.
  • Consulting and contact requests: your name, email, organization, role, what you need help with, and your message.
  • Newsletter signups: your first name and email address.

Information collected automatically

Our website runs on Squarespace, which collects basic usage data through Squarespace Analytics and cookies. This can include the pages you visit, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address.

We don’t ask for payment details, and we don’t collect sensitive personal information through this site.

03How we use it

  • To record and send your free store snapshot.
  • To reply to your questions and discuss possible work together.
  • To send our newsletter, if you signed up for it.
  • To understand how people use the site so we can improve it.
  • To keep the site secure and working properly.

When you request a snapshot, we review your online store the way any visitor would see it. We don’t need, and won’t ask for, access to your store’s admin or customer data.

04Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the business:

  • Squarespace hosts this website, processes form submissions, and provides site analytics.
  • beehiiv sends our newsletter and stores subscriber details.
  • Our email provider delivers messages between you and us.
  • Google Calendar schedules calls you book with us. When you book, Google receives the name, email, and details you enter.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details.
  • YouTube plays the video on our About page. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, YouTube may collect usage data under its own policy.
  • Abacus, a counter service, shows the ticket number on our snapshot pages. It receives a page request like any website does, but no form details or personal information.

These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

05Newsletter

If you subscribe, we’ll email you now and then with ideas about selling merchandise. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe. You can also email us and we’ll remove you.

06Cookies

Squarespace places cookies on your device to make the site work and to measure traffic. If you play the video on our About page, YouTube may place its own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected if you do. Squarespace lists the cookies it uses in its cookie documentation.

07How long we keep it

We keep form submissions as long as we need them to respond to you and manage our working relationship, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

08Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email us at the address below and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. If the laws where you live give you additional privacy rights, we’ll honor them.

09Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and we rely on established providers to store it. No website or email service is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

10Children

This site is for businesses and sports organizations. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

11Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If we add new tools that collect information, such as advertising pixels, this policy will be updated first.
